In Fronius IG Plus inverters, up to three identical power modules work together in the proven Fronius MIX™ concept. Depending on the level of utilisation, the power modules can either function simultaneously, or only those that are required to handle the insolation power present at a particular time are called upon. This optimizes the utilisation, the yield is always the maximum.
Each power module starts every day with the lowest number of operating hours worked, whereby the individual power modules are evenly utilised and their service life is therefore extended.
Should one power module fail, the others will continue to function reliably.
Installation
The especially easy installation principle of the Fronius IG Plus is based on separate installation of the connection and power module compartments. The new Power-Plug system provides an easy connection between the two.
During installation, only the connection compartment has to be mounted onto the wall. The housing containing the power module(s) - depending on performance class - can be easily fitted to the connector.
Ventilation concept
The sophisticated ventilation concept in Fronius IG Plus inverters keeps dust and moisture away from the inside of the power module compartment. Cool air is sucked in through the side panel and fed over the cooling element through a hermetically sealed venting duct, effectively ruling out any contact with the PC boards. This concept also ensures that the components are kept cool and that the device functions reliably in the long term.
Replacing power stage sets
The new Power-Plug system for the Fronius IG Plus series not only facilitates installation, but also significantly simplifies any servicing work that may be required in the future. The power stage set compartment can be changed on-site by any certified Fronius Service Partner. The connector, including cabling and all configurations, simply remains on the wall. This means fast and efficient servicing and minimal downtime.
