"Intralogistics day" at Fronius do Brasil a complete success
31.01.2012
The benefits of Active Inverter Technology were the focus during the "Intralogistics day" in Sao Paulo. Fronius Brazil invited potential customers to its subsidiary in Diadema in order to explain how Fronius charging technology works.
Invitations were sent to more than 100 companies across a number of sectors. Over 30 interesting firms, such as Johnsen&Johnsen, WalMart, BASF, Schenker, DHL and Caterpillar, took up the invitation. The focus of the event was efficient HF technology and the savings that could be made using this "new" technology.
Outmoded 50/60 Hz transformer technology is still top dog on the Brazilian market. In addition to demonstrations of Selectiva battery charging systems, examples from customers were used to illustrate to visitors the potential cost savings.
Following the Fronius presentations, guest Roberto Salomão of Casas Bahia (one of the largest companies in the furniture sector in Brazil) gave a talk on the subject of "Battery storage".
During the product presentations, visitors were given a questionnaire about "Battery charging in intralogistics" – this was another opportunity to demonstrate the savings potential offered by Fronius charging technology. All the visitors to the event now want Fronius to visit them to calculate the potential cost savings in their organisations. As most of them have already entered the relevant data for their companies in the questionnaire (number of ground conveyors, batteries used, shift operation, etc.), the Fronius sales team will be able to use the new I-SPoT calculation tool to determine how much money they can save.
Dinner together in the evening rounded off the event, which concluded with a draw featuring an Acctiva Easy as first prize.
