Steel Transfer technology and the fully digital TransSteel inverter power source form the basis of a new robotic welding system. TransSteel Robotics is available in the 350 A and 500 A categories and delivers significant user benefits:

the revolutionary Fronius System Connector (FSC) conveys all the required media for the welding process and its precise current transfer ensures maximum process stability. With the new robot interfaces, the developers have managed to kill two birds with one stone: the interfaces can now be easily attached to both the power source and the cell wall, for example. Versions that stop and start the arc via an automated interface and transmit analogue or digital signals across different bus networks (DeviceNet, CanOpen, Interbus and Profibus) are available for robot integrators.

The new and practical Easy Job function enables the user to save up to five parameter data sets at the touch of a button. The media routing from the power source to the wire-feed unit and torch is another innovative feature. The wire-feed unit is much smaller and compact, drastically reducing the interference profile. The Comfort Wire function, used in conjunction with the FSC, makes it possible to thread the wires automatically when the feed rollers are closed. When changing the liner, the wire-feed unit can be placed in its mounting rail, which saves a considerable amount of time.

The water cooling pipe and Magnet Crashbox are unique. The former is easy to fit in the torch hosepack and requires no external hoses on the torch. The Magnet Crashbox ensures that the interference profile is greatly reduced by integrating two magnets instead of the springs used in conventional crashboxes.
