Fronius at Austrian Logistics Day 2011
15.07.2011
This year's Austrian Logistics Day 2011 was once again a red letter day in the Fronius calendar. A series of technical presentations from various companies and institutions was given under the motto "Accuracy in deciding what is predictable and unpredictable, downtime and rapid acceleration". Fronius addressed the topic "Efficient charging technology for forklift trucks".
"Logistics" was the centre of attention at the Linz Design Center on June 7th and 8th 2011. This year, more than 650 delegates used the event as a meeting point and platform for an exchange of ideas and a chance to look at the current hot topics in the sector and hear about all the latest news and developments.
On June 7th, Fronius took the opportunity to present a paper on "Efficient battery charging systems for electric forklifts – investment versus running costs in intralogistics". During the session, Harald Scherleitner, head of the Battery Charging Systems division, presented the new Fronius whitepaper entitled "Decision-making tool for Intralogistics". In addition to numerous logistics companies, forklift dealers representing Toyota, Still and Linde visited the Fronius stand in the technical area. Displaying its brand new company image, Fronius examined the subject of charging and the savings that can be made using Active Inverter Technology.
The event also gave the opportunity to indulge in some intensive networking and generate high-calibre contacts, which augurs well for the development of the market in Austria.
