Fronius expands its interface portfolio with EtherCAT

and responds to the latest trend in the robot market. EtherCat is already well established with robot manufacturers, integrators and system builders. It is now possible to equip Fronius welding power sources from the TransSteel Robotics and TransPuls Synergic series with this robot interface to ensure problem-free data transfer without any additional expense for users. Depending on area of application this interface is also qualified for TIG welding power source.

An optimal weld seam is the result of perfectly coordinated system components. Communication between the welding power source and robot plays an important role in achieving this. With the addition of EtherCAT to its interface portfolio, Fronius is satisfying the latest demands from the market.
