FRONIUS IG series certified for Australia!
03.11.2004
The inverters of the FRONIUS IG series are now licensed for Australia as well. The Australian pv installers and pv users can already benefit from the numerous advantages of this inverter series.
Up to now, only inverters from the Fronius SUNRISE series have been used on the 5th continent. After having certified the “smaller” FRONIUS IG devices according to the Australian requirements, Fronius also offers its current inverter generation in this continent.
Since the market launch of the FRONIUS IG series on the European market, many improvements and technical innovations have been carried out.
In the future, like in Europe, the only available inverters from the SUNRISE series will be those for smaller power classes (SUNRISE Micro, Mini and Mini-S) which fit for pv systems between 600 and 1.400 Wp.
For larger systems, only FRONIUS IG inverters will be accessible with all their advantages such as the FRONIUS IG Signal Card and the informative system of data communication. In this way, people in Australia can also benefit from the various possibilities of system monitoring.
Of course, the weather resistant FRONIUS IG Outdoors will also be available. This inverter is fit for outdoor installation and any kind of weather because of its robust housing. Moreover, the FRONIUS IG inverters will offer many special features, as for example:
- The informative LCD-display
- Light weight for a quick and simple installation
- The FRONIUS IG Module-Manager for an efficient MPPT with different types of modules
- The integrated High Frequency Transformer offers maximum possible safety
- The Phase-Shift technology minimizes switching losses and increases energy yields.
FRONIUS IG 15, 20 and 30 are already available and as the FRONIUS IG 40 and 60 successfully passed the certification process as well, these devices will follow pretty soon. The intelligent MIX-concept of the FRONIUS IG 40 and 60 leads to a higher degree of efficiency in part load areas: The two power stacks in each inverter alternate and in case of lower irradiation only one power stack is active. The 2nd starts working when the first is working nearly at full capacity.
