First international partner meeting in Wels

The first international partner meeting of the battery charging systems division was held at the Fronius Wels site on September 13th 2010. The aim of the gathering was to present products and give participants the opportunity to exchange information. Presentations by guest speakers from renowned companies and a workshop visit completed the programme.

Wels/Upper Austria. Battery Charging Systems division sales partners from various countries and continents met at the Fronius Wels site on September 13th 2010. The first international partner meeting of the Battery Charging Systems division was underway. Partners and Fronius managing directors from over 13 countries attended the meeting.

Various Acctiva products were presented to the participants during the get-together. First up was a look at the new Acctiva Easy sales packaging and the accompanying POS display, followed by the Acctiva Twin 15A multi-circuit battery charging system. The main highlight was a presentation of the new Acctiva Professional 35A, just in time for the Automechanika trade fair. There were also practical demonstrations of the Acctiva Professional Flash and Acctiva Sellers.

In addition to product presentations, there was a practical demonstration of the Fronius battery charging system in the Geyrhofer BMW vehicle workshop in Wels. The company uses Fronius charging technology exclusively in both its showroom and workshop. During a tour of the premises, the managing director of BMW Geyrhofer, described the various application areas that use Fronius Acctiva battery charging systems.

On the subject of the Acctiva Twin 15A product range, a guest speaker of the fire engine manufacturers Rosenbauer gave a talk about electronic devices in emergency vehicles and why the right charging technology is essential.The Option FireCAN, developed by Rosenbauer in collaboration with Fronius and other component and vehicle manufacturers, was also demonstrated during the presentation.

The british Fronius sales partner Autologic spoke in his presentation of the need for reliable, powerful battery charging systems for diagnostic processes.

After a morning visit to the Sattledt site on September 14th, the party moved on to the international Automechanika trade fair.

Feedback from this first partner meeting was entirely positive - the division intends to hold these gatherings on a regular basis from now on.
