Expo electrode
The spectrum of applications has been enlarged by a new electrode geometry. The Expo electrode has been given a modified contact surface. Instead of being arched to the outside, the electrode is curved slightly inwards. The workpiece material can now systematically expand during welding, before regaining its original shape. This makes the electrode indentation on the workpiece almost completely disappear, doing away with the need for post-weld machining.
As a result, visually exposed spot-welds in appearance-sensitive applications are now perfectly possible. All the other advantages of DeltaSpot remain unchanged: 100 % reproducible weld-spots, absolutely spatter-free spot-welding and electrodes that are protected by the process tape.
