Ready at a moment's notice - Fronius at Retter
Every two years the largest national trade fair for safety and emergency organisations takes place in Wels, Upper Austria. This year, Fronius displayed its professional battery chargers from the Acctiva range and the TransCut plasma cutting device.
Wels. More than 14,000 visitors from Austria and its neighbouring countries attended the Retter 08 trade fair between October 3rd and 5th. The 140 exhibitors presented new products from the fire, rescue and safety technology sectors as well as protective equipment and alarm systems.
Fronius battery chargers already have an excellent reputation in the safety sector. Almost every new emergency vehicle has a Fronius on-board battery charger and is guaranteed to be ready for deployment at a moment's notice. This requirement is taken as standard in this line of work.
Secondary consumers in particular, such as extendable floodlamp booms, water cannons, flashing lights, charging stations for radio, warning and measuring systems or hand torches, draw considerable amounts of power from the battery. Even accessories such as portable fire pumps or power generators have electric starter motors nowadays. The additional batteries necessary demand a constant conservation charge to ensure they are always operational. Prominent manufacturers of emergency vehicles trust Fronius and install battery chargers into their vehicles as standard.
Another highlight was the mobile and compact TransCut plasma cutting device. The water-based cutting process reduces sparks and ensures 90% less emissions compared to traditional compressed air cutting devices.
Decision makers from the emergency services, safety specialists, the business community and occupational health specialists learned about new developments in their sector during the three-day fair. Fronius can add yet more contacts to its address book and look back upon Retter 08 with great satisfaction.
