20th Automechanika for Fronius a big success

09.10.2008

About 5.000 exhibitors from 80 countries took the challenge of “climate protection” very seriously and displayed innovative and sustainable concepts for vehicle and workshop. Fronius presented an interesting and innovative mix of battery charging systems and welding technology.

From September 16th – 21st 2008 Fronius demonstrated practical and future-proof applications in the fields of charging, power supplies, welding and cutting. Fronius is now positioning itself as a premium supplier.

In the field battery charging systems today’s challenges facing the starter batteries in the workshop, the showroom and during diagnosis were highlighted. The main problem in these areas is to provide a reliable and above all safe power supply during vehicle diagnosis and when updating the vehicle software, the procedure known as "EPROM flashing". This is an area in the modern workshop that is gaining in significance, something that is demonstrated by the rapid growth in the market for diagnostic equipment.

Regular battery care and the power supply for the demonstration vehicles in the showroom are also becoming more important. As the engine is turned off, power when demonstrating all the vehicle's refined features to a client in the showroom is generally provided just by the battery. Without an adequate power supply (or regular battery care), the batteries drain very quickly. The result is that some vehicle systems no longer work properly and cannot be demonstrated to potential purchasers.
Fronius battery charging systems are the ideal solution for all battery problems in the workshop.

The Welding Technology Division presented a number of innovative welding and cutting solutions. The versatile Fronius processes have welded demanding multi-sheet joints perfectly, reliably and to the customer's satisfaction in rigorous workshop use and industrial applications. Both mobile plasma cutting and the CMT (Cold Metal Transfer) process offered visitors an insight into the Fronius world of welding and cutting. Welding demonstrations gave visitors the opportunity to experience Fronius quality and the capabilities of its products at first hand.

The Automechanika 2008 was very successful for Fronius, as in addition to decision makers from the car manufacturers, workshop equipment providers and specialist dealers from all over the world also visited the stand and showed a great deal of interest in selling quality products from Fronius.
