Istanbul, economic metropolis: Fronius opens new agency
31.08.2008
Over recent years the economy in Istanbul has been very much on the up. The city has developed into the economic and industrial centre of Turkey. Investors from Turkey and all four corners of the globe have been and are continuing to make Istanbul one of the world’s most important economic centres. Fronius, too, has already established itself and enjoys a good reputation in the Turkish market.
Continuing economic growth, an automobile and component supply industry, shipbuilding and an ever-increasing demand for robot applications - in a market full of such opportunities can you think of a good reason for not having your own agency? It’s difficult to come up with one – so that’s why on June 17th Fronius opened the first agency for its welding technology division in Istanbul.
The sun beamed down as divisional manager Wolfgang Lattner, together with Turkish sales director Nusret Bilen, area manager Günter Dimmler, TSI team leader Werner Humer and Aysel Keskin, opened the new office. The project owes its success to the highly motivated and dedicated three-person team of Nusret Bilen, Bekir Adigüzel and Halil Akkoyun. There were more than 50 guests at the opening, including customers, business associates and family members.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Marco Garcier, overseas trade delegate for the Austrian chamber of commerce. Needless to say, the formalities included a guided tour of the new office, which is located right by the harbour next to the shipyards in Tulza. The welcoming office and the welding systems out on display created an excellent impression. A musical backdrop to the occasion was provided by a duo who gave an excellent rendition of some classical Austrian music.
