Fronius expands its sales and production facilities in the Ukraine

Careful consideration ensures the "same high level of Fronius quality all over the world"

Ukraine is another country where Fronius welding technology finds itself in good shape. The international technology company has therefore recently invested in a new support centre at its site near Kiev. The company has set up a new centre to handle all aspects of customer support (including second-level support) in a part of the building covering 880 square metres. The support centre includes modern offices, a lecture room, a display of the entire product range, four (at present) fully-equipped welding teaching stations, straight-line travel carriages and a welding robot for customer-specific test welding. This setup means that Fronius's Ukraine facility is in line with its other sites in upholding the company's guiding principle of providing the same high level of Fronius quality all over the world.

Quality-conscious customers are to be found in virtually all sectors of Russian and Ukrainian industry, from mechanical engineering and container construction through to the automotive industry and power stations. Fronius Ukraine generates 70 % of its turnover through direct sales and around 30 % through specialist dealers. Fronius is therefore investing in developing and extending its own sales network. Back in 2006 it established its first own subsidiary in Donezk, a university city in the heart of the heavy industrial and coalmining region of eastern Ukraine. Another sales and service subsidiary is just about to be officially opened in western Ukraine - in fact it has already started work. The plan is to get a further six operations up and running at two year intervals.
