Training center for orbital welding technology
02.08.2004
Guttroff-Gase und Schweisstechnik GmbH, a long-standing Fronius sales partner in Germany, in cooperation with SLV Halle, is offering practical training on the subject of WIG orbital welding.
In cooperation with the “Schweißtechnische Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt Halle GmbH” (Welding Technology Training and Research Institute, based in Halle, Germany) and with the support of Germany’s national job agency, Thomas Weber, Head of Training at Guttroff, is looking to propagate his long-standing expert knowledge of orbital welding technologies to craftsmen, master craftsmen, foremen, and welders in production and assembly applications.
Tuition will be focused on the Fronius FPA 2000 Orbital System Controller. The participants will have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with various pipe connections in open and closed grippers. At the end of the course, successful participants receive an operator’s certificate to EN 1418.
For many users, WIG orbital welding in particular has proved to be a technology that assures a high degree of process security, and accuracy of repetitive tasks.
Industries such as microelectronics, aeronautical and space engineering, food and biochemistry, pharmaceuticals, climate control and heat exchanger manufacturing show an increasing trend towards extremely precise orbital welding technologies, which allow economically efficient welding of pipe-pipe, and pipe-floor joints.
