Fronius Battery Charging Systems now also in Brazil
30.08.2010
On July 1st 2010 the Battery Charging Systems division started its sales activities in Brazil. One of the factors behind the decision was the rapid development of the BRIC states (Brazil, Russia, India, China).
The four BRIC states have huge market potential with annual economic growth of 5 to 10%. As one of these emerging markets, Brazil is an attractive market for the Battery Charging Systems division. The benefits of having the Welding Technology division's sales organisation already in place encouraged the Battery Charging Systems division to start direct sales in Brazil.
Another opportunity for Fronius is the opportunity to take on a pioneering role in battery charging technology in Brazil. Typical for emerging markets is the fact that certain technologies are bypassed in favour of the latest technology. With the introduction of the Active Inverter Technology developed by Fronius, the company can act as the trendsetter in the Brazilian market and bypass the inverter technology (high-frequency chargers) that is still prevalent in the European market.
Sales and marketing activities are already in full swing and the Fronius Brazil website will soon be reporting on the activities of the Battery Charging Systems division.
