Fronius Solar Electronics received UL-listing
09.02.2004
Fronius reached a major milestone for its market entry in the USA: Underwriter Laboratory (UL) tested the grid-tied inverters FRONIUS IG 3000, IG 2000 and IG 2500 LV according to its very strict rules and finally certified the devices.
“We have reached a major milestone for Fronius by receiving the UL Listing ”, says Mark Stimson, Director of Sales and Marketing for Fronius USA - Solar Electronics Division. “We are really excited about the getting these inverters into the market. Once installers get their hands on a Fronius IG inverter, they are going to be equally excited about how easy it is to install and operate. ”
The FRONIUS IG inverter’s offer high efficiency, precision MPP-tracking, and intelligent thermal management, all of which result in superior energy output from grid-tied photovoltaic systems. At 26 lbs., the FRONIUS IG inverters are half the weight of competing inverters. Built-in DC and AC disconnects, in many cases, eliminate the need for external breakers reducing total system costs. FRONIUS IG inverters come standard with an integrated LCD where the installer can view and record over 20 parameters pertaining to inverter and system operation. Optional remote data communications and data logging features can easily be added via Boxes (PCB's in small external houses)to transform IG inverters into a sophisticated data acquisition system and weather station.
