Active Wave

Fronius analyses every application down to the last detail. The principle is always the same: to recognise what the requirements are, and then to work on finding a solution.

For example, we noticed some time ago that the noise level was an issue. So we set about quietening things down.

Fronius digital TIG systems use a digital signal processor, and offer all the benefits already familiar from other digital welding systems: Reproducibility, precision and promptness. Along with complete digitisation, we added something quite special: Silence. Noise – caused by the constant changing of the welding current from positive to negative – was always an issue with TIG AC welding. Now silence rules.

Fronius calls the underlying principle Active Wave, because the digital signal processor always calculates precisely and in real time the current curve that offers the highest possible arc stability and lowest possible noise emissions. Neither is there any more high-frequency superimposition with alternating current.

Moreover, all TIG systems have now been completely digitised , i.e. all components that belong to a perfect welding process.
