China: Shanghai

Since March of 2012, Fronius has a solar energy subsidiary in Shanghai. China is one of the emerging markets in Asia and has enormous potential, particularly for solar electronics. By 2015, it is expected to be the largest market in the world. In order to benefit from this opportunity, Fronius has decided to set up a subsidiary there.

Fronius China, division welding technology was established to pay attention to the growing weight of the Chinese market on a global scale, in particular in regard to robotics and international customers. These customers are used to be directly in contact with the manufacturer of their equipment. Product- and process adaptations required by the domestic market can therefore be provided directly by the manufacturer. Simeco/Cowin, the long-term distributor of Fronius in China, retains its position as distributor in unrestricted scope, all operation on the Chinese market is conducted in full trust and close cooperation with Fronius International and Fronius China.

Fronius has been active in the Chinese market for many years now. Since many important suppliers are based in China, Fronius will also set up a Supply Chain Management office in the country so that the necessary components can be purchased more efficiently.
