Fronius inverter series with new power categories
15.11.2010
Fronius is planning to launch three new inverters on the market, all at the beginning of 2011. The Fronius IG, Fronius IG Plus and Fronius IG TL series are each being enhanced with an additional power category.
The new Fronius IG Plus 30 V with 3 kW nominal output completes the Fronius IG Plus series range. It is particularly suitable for new markets that usually start with small systems. The Fronius IG Plus 30 V will appeal as it offers maximum yield dependability, is extremely reliable and has a wide variety of applications.
The transformerless Fronius IG TL 4.6 with maximum output power of 4.6 kVA is intended to meet the requirements of the German Low-Voltage Directive, which is expected to take effect sometime in the year 2011. This new directive stipulates, among other things, that 4.6 kVA is the maximum negative phase sequence current for PV systems that do not feed in power in three phases. The Fronius IG TL 4.6 has the same features as the other products in this family, such as the status manager and convenient system monitoring functions, as well as the USB stick inverter update option.
The new Fronius IG 50 with maximum output power of 4.6 kVA also conforms to the German Low Voltage Directive. The unique Fronius MIX™ concept, which ensures maximum yield, makes this the perfect inverter for single-family households. The Fronius IG 50 is only certified for the German market.
All the new inverters will be available from January 2011.
