WELDING TECHNOLOGY
Operating-range extension for CMT weld process Fronius has evolved its proven Cold Metal Transfer weld process (CMT) a stage further. A new algorithm now makes it possible to use this advanced process in fields of application that had always been entirely, or largely, the preserve of globular and pulsed arcs. A number of newly developed characteristics make for ease of operation and help users achieve superlative welding results. Previously supplied systems can be upgraded at no extra cost.

Electrode welding now also possible on the simulator Virtual Welding from Fronius provides welding novices with a welding simulator that accurately reflects real-life welding. A trainee can now also learn how to perform electrode welding on the simulator – as usual completely free of danger. Whether you order an upright terminal or a basic module portable case, you now have the option of choosing between two function packages. Existing Virtual Welding systems, can, of course, be upgraded.

Campaign supports sales drive In April 2013, Fronius launched a six-month sales promotion for the tried-and-tested TransPuls Synergic systems. The promotion applies exclusively to manual power sources in this product range. And here's the clincher: it is the end customers themselves who choose their preferred bonus option from a selection of six packages.

Innovative new products from the Automation group Welding Technology The Welding Technology Automation group of Fronius International has set itself the challenge of developing new products that meet the high customer expectations to the fullest possible extent. The result is two highly innovative products. On the one hand, the ArcView camera system, on the other, the new HMI-T10 system controller.

Wirefeeder VR 5000 Case: compact and robust Fronius has developed a wire-feed unit specifically for use in shipbuilding, offshore and rail vehicle construction applications. Designed to withstand the harsh conditions prevailing in the welding sector, the unit is extremely robust, impact resistant and, thanks to its portability and compact dimensions, easily integrated into the welder's everyday working environment.
