Fronius demonstrates international expertise with new devices for the US market

Fronius has operated a sales subsidiary for its Solar Electronics division in the USA since 2004. In the first quarter of 2011, the quality leader will launch a whole range of new devices on the US market, highlighting in an impressive way its expertise in photovoltaic systems. All devices and services fully comply with the standards and requirements that apply within the USA.

The Fronius CL is the first central inverter series designed around a modular system that Fronius is offering to the US market. The market launch phase of the Fronius CL 55.5 Delta and the Fronius CL 60.0 WYE 277 will start at the beginning of 2011. Like its European brother, the US version of the Fronius CL is ideally suited for photovoltaic systems of up to several hundred kilowatts (known as commercial systems). Very high growth potential is predicted for these systems, which currently represent the largest market segment in the USA.
The ideal accessory for string monitoring, Fronius String Control 250/25 will be available in the USA from the first quarter of 2011. Fronius String Control 250/25 is essential for systems that generate in excess of 30 kW, as it ensures that string faults can be reliably detected. In addition to the connection compartment and NEMA 3R housing protection for outdoor installation, which are fully compliant with US-specific installation requirements, the Fronius CL and Fronius String Control 250/25 have the same advantages as the version used in Europe.

In the second quarter of 2011, the Fronius Personal Display DL will make its debut in the USA as a low-cost method of system monitoring.

The network-enabled Fronius Datalogger Web, with its practical WLAN functionality, has been available since October 2010. The new USB interface allows an optional WLAN stick to be connected and enables links to existing networks to be established very easily.

Besides the product sector itself, the unique Fronius Service Partner programme, which was set up in Europe in 2001 and is now an established quality feature, is to be introduced in the USA. It involves a technical training programme that allows PV installers to service Fronius inverters themselves, thus ensuring even prompter and simpler service.
The services provided by the service, marketing and sales departments (e.g. the Fronius Partnerweb information platform) make the Fronius Partner programme even more attractive.
