Fronius set for more growth
The reasons for the success of Fronius battery charging systems are quickly explained. For more than half a century, the company has been researching battery charging technology and developing and producing battery charging systems that set recognised standards for the future. The products have been and are specifically developed for professional use in industry and vehicle workshops. A distinction is made between the Acctiva range of starter batteries for use in cars, and the Selectiva range of traction batteries for charging forklift trucks, etc.
Fronius battery charging systems boast a number of benefits. To name just a couple: these Austrian-made systems reach staggering efficiency levels of up to 96%. The reduction in energy consumption of up to 30% compared with conventional devices speaks volumes. Users appreciate such figures, which can only be achieved by using Fronius "Active Inverter Technology". Manufacturers of automobiles, forklift trucks and batteries have been placing their trust in dependable Fronius products for decades, as they are the best tools for reducing ongoing operating costs and ensuring reliable processes.
"Our intralogistics department is blossoming. I'm working on the assumption that the department will play an even more important role for our battery charging systems in the future, as in times of rising electricity and battery prices we have to think more about the ongoing operating costs," says Harald Scherleitner. The head of division explained that Fronius is expanding in many countries in Europe, particularly Germany. "Germany is a key market for systems used to charge forklift truck batteries. Under Marlon Rönnecke, head of sales and marketing for battery charging systems, we are expanding our sales organisation and looking for more sales staff in the northern, southern, eastern, western and central regions of Germany." As Harald Scherleitner stresses, an important step towards professional market cultivation is to further improve the level of support provided to dealers and key accounts in intralogistics.
In addition to sales staff, Fronius is also seeking more sales partners for its expansion in other European countries. "We are focusing on eastern and western Europe," says Harald Scherleitner.
