Equipment features
Decide on site whether it is desirable or necessary to ground modules. Insert fuse and enable software - ready for grounding.
All Fronius IG Plus devices have a rugged, elegant metal housing. They are UV-resistant and have corrosion protection, making them suitable for use both indoors and outdoors.
No additional installation work or cabling is necessary. Extremely convenient and highest levels of safety according to DIN-VDE 0100-712.
Up to 6 strings can be directly connected to all Fronius IG Plus inverters. The integrated holders for string fuses allow the module strings to be disconnected from one another depending on the module manufacturer's requirements.

Technology
Fronius MIX™ technology The cleverly-devised combination of several power modules means Fronius inverters always achieve maximum yield, even when in the partial-load range. This is all down to the unique Fronius Master Inverter X-Change system (MIX™), a development of the classic master/slave principle. How it works: all power modules are equal. The „master“ is allocated alternately, taking into account the operating hours worked. The result is that loads are applied evenly to individual power modules and the operating time decreases.
HF transformer switchover Fronius transformer inverters use a high-frequency (HF) transformer. The automatic transformer switchover facility produces three efficiency peaks. The result: a constant level of efficiency across the entire input voltage range, resulting in higher yields. Other advantages of HF transformer technology are the compact, lightweight design, a high level of efficiency and safety as a result of the electrical isolation.
PC board replacement The foundation of the unique PC board replacement is laid as we develop our inverters, as PC boards can only be replaced if the device has been designed accordingly. This enables our Fronius Service Partners to provide the fastest inverter servicing on the market.
Integrierte WLAN-Schnittstelle Eine einfache, benutzerfreundliche Anlagenüberwachung ist Fronius ein großes Anliegen. Mit dem Fronius Datamanager bieten wir als erster Wechselrichterhersteller eine WLANSchnittstelle direkt im Wechselrichter an. Damit ist der Wechselrichter ohne zusätzliche Verkabelung mit dem Internet verbunden und Sie haben einen optimalen Überblick über den Betrieb der PV-Anlage.
Smart Grid Ready Fronius Wechselrichter sind bereit für das Smart Grid von morgen. Für zukünftige netztechnische Anforderungen sind die Wechselrichter bestens gerüstet. Eine Reihe von smarten Funktionen, sogenannte Advanced Grid Features, sind in den Geräten vorhanden. Es handelt sich dabei um verschiedene Regelungsfunktionen für die optimale Einspeisung von Blindleistung und Wirkleistung. Ziel dieser Funktionen ist es, auch bei sehr hoher Dichte an PV-Anlagen, den sicheren Netzbetrieb zu ermöglichen. Und zu verhindern, dass es zu unerwünschten Einspeiseunterbrechungen und damit verbundenen Ertragseinbußen kommt. Der Ertrag der PV-Anlage ist mit den Fronius Wechselrichtern somit optimal gesichert.
