The ultimate in laser brazing

29.11.2011

Fronius is now offering customers a welding system for laser brazing - the TransPuls Synergic 2700 CMT power source. Made from proven components, the modular system is available in a number of different configurations and is suitable for both hot and cold wire applications. The wire is fed from either the drum or directly from the integrated wirespool depending on the application.

Users not only benefit from a compact power source design, but also from optimum process monitoring, networking using standard field bus systems and also the use of standard wearing and replacement parts. Fronius also guarantees efficient laser brazing from perfectly matched components.

/ The power is in the roller – precise wire feed using ...

/  …PowerDrive system – with wire feed from the drum
A harmonious balance between the external RobactaDrive Coldwire/Hotwire welding torch with integrated wire feed and the new PowerLiner system, which delivers a virtually wear-free wire feed from an innovative roller feeding hose. A pull unit easily guarantees a constant wirefeed over distances of up to 10 metres.

/   …Push-pull mode – for feeding from the wirespool integrated into the                 power source
In this configuration, the wire-feed unit is active and helps optimise overall system performance.

/ Everything under control – targeted process monitoring and documentation means quality as standard

/ Setting and monitoring limit values: features of the RCU 5000i include the option to set current and voltage limits and wire feed speed limits. Limit value violations are recorded immediately and result in defined actions (e.g. the robot is switched off). This is therefore a key aspect of quality monitoring.

A wire actual value sensor provides an exact measurement of wire feed speeds (partly because it is positioned directly on the welding torch) and acts as an RCU input.

/ A particular benefit is the precise documentation of the process when producing components that require documentation.

/ Sensor values can be visualised in Fronius Xplorer. Voltage, current and wire feed speed are displayed over a given period.
