Taking opportunities and securing success at LogiMAT 2012
23.03.2012
Under the banner "Innovation + Networks for Sustainable Growth", the International Trade Fair for Distribution, Materials Handling and Information Flow, the LogiMAT was held from March 13th to 15th 2012 in Stuttgart. The Fronius Battery Charging Systems division was there with its unique Active Inverter Technology.
This year's three-day event was a record-breaking affair marked by a considerable increase in both exhibitor and visitor numbers. More than 29,000 visitors descended on the five exhibition halls to find out all about the latest trends in the world of intralogistics. Alongside the domestic audience, the international flavour of the fair was boosted by representatives from Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the United Kingdom.
The Battery Charging Systems division joined forces with Fronius sales partner Keckeisen Batteries from Memmingen to exhibit Selectiva products for the intralogistics market. The exhibition halls were awash with visitors from day one, giving the Fronius sales team the opportunity to establish some very promising new contacts. Existing relationships with industrial truck manufacturers, such as Linde, Still, Jungheinrich, as well as Crown and Hyundai, were also strengthened and consolidated.
In addition to the display of Selectiva battery charging systems, Fronius was also represented on the Linde stand by the HyLOG project, which uses the Fronius Energy Cell.
Yet another innovation in Fronius charging technology could be found on the Hyundai stand. The forklift truck manufacturer exhibited Fronius battery charging systems, complete with Hyundai branding in a yellow housing. For a short time, the 3 kW, 7 kW and 14 kW Selectiva Plus systems have been produced as an Hyundai OEM variant. Hyundai has added the chargers to its accessories portfolio and sells them across Europe.
Fronius also took the opportunity presented by the trade forum "Sustainability in Hall Construction and Operation" to discuss energy autonomy.
LogiMAT open its doors for the eleventh time next year. The event is being held a little earlier in the year, from February 19th to 21st 2013. Fronius will again be there to present its charging technology.
