Successful appearance at IMHX fair

Fronius unveiled its Active Inverter Technology at the IMHX for the first time since the trade fair started. The special event for logistics and material flow was well attended again this year. Every three years, decision makers from a wide range of sectors meet to find out about the latest product developments.

Fronius exhibited the efficient Selectiva battery charging systems on its 30m² stand. The Active Inverter Technology introduced by Fronius was the main focus of the trade fair. The market share of 50Hz transformer technology is still quite high. By combining the benefits of 50Hz technology with those of conventional inverter technology, Fronius Active Inverter Technology produces outstanding results when charging traction batteries.

One reason for the high market share of 50Hz transformer technology is that conventional inverter technology failed dismally in the UK due to quality problems. Fronius is rated highly as a specialist in power electronics and can add value to the market with Active Inverter Technology.

Fronius gave a technical presentation to show interested visitors the benefits of Active Inverter Technology. Practical examples were used to demonstrate the reliable and safe charging of traction batteries and the cost savings for the customer.

The portable, all-round Selectiva Plus 8070 battery charging system stole the show. The device is perfect for a variety of applications, as it enables various voltages and ampere hours to be set. This means it can be used to charge a wide range of traction batteries. The Selectiva Plus 8070 is the natural choice whenever there is a requirement to recharge used batteries after a certain amount of time or to increase their capacity. Old, used batteries can be revitalised using the unique Refresh characteristic so that a functional battery can be sold on the second-hand market.

The fair was a resounding success for the Battery Charging Systems division and will be among the trade fairs earmarked again in three years' time.
