Earth Hour 2012 - Fronius supports WWF climate campaign

22.03.2012

"Earth Hour", the WWF climate campaign, will take place again on March 31st this year. At 8.30 pm exactly, the lights on the landmark of every capital city in the world will be switched off. Join this "Lights out" campaign!

The WWF is holding its successful "Earth Hour" campaign for climate protection for the sixth time; the campaign is well supported across the globe every year. At 8.30 pm on March 31st, the lights on the most famous buildings will be switched off for exactly one hour.

But it's not just the lights on the landmarks of our capital cities that will go out for Earth Hour. Private individuals are also being asked to support this campaign for climate protection by switching off all their lights for one hour. The event is intended to represent a worldwide stand against global warming and therefore concerns us all.
Several hundred million people in 5,200 cities in 135 countries switched off their lights last year. The fifth Earth Hour in 2011 was thus the largest ever campaign in support of the world climate.

Take part again in "Lights out" on March 31st and back the campaign by setting an example to protect our climate.
