Mercedes-Benz campaign

05.09.2007

The on-board electronics of modern vehicles are sensitive and require electronically-safe charging of the starter battery. The workshop equipment department at Mercedes-Benz has launched a battery charger campaign to increase awareness of this within its dealership network. Fronius battery chargers, which are a byword for absolute electronic safety, are included in the campaign.

Stuttgart: In an ongoing campaign, Mercedes is offering battery chargers to its entire European dealership network on interesting terms. Both Fronius Acctiva Professional Car Edition and Acctiva Professional Flash battery chargers are included in the campaign for less than the Mercedes-Benz list price.

Automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is developing ever safer luxury vehicles with lower consumption and high comfort levels for its demanding customers. It goes without saying that all these features require more power to enable them to function. There is a high level of demand for reliable batteries that will start the vehicle every time, and electronically-safe charging technology that doesn't result in sparks and dangerous voltage peaks.

In their covering letter, Mercedes-Benz highlights the problems during diagnostic or programming work and with vehicle demonstrations in the showroom. The company referred to a recently published article in the trade journal "Auto Service Praxis". The article described the power supply challenges faced today in the showroom and workshop and suggested solutions using Fronius battery chargers. (ASP 03/ 2007 Unter Strom/All charged up)
