Higher efficiency and much longer battery life

Anyone who uses electrically-operated floor conveyors, stackers and picking trolleys must be able to guarantee their constant availability. Efficient battery chargers therefore have an important role to play. The innovative Active Inverter Technology from Fronius boasts significant advantages compared with 50 Hz technology and charging with conventional inverters, the most important of which are increased efficiency (now 96%) and the up to 25% longer battery life. 

The charging systems in the Selectiva range detect the current charge level of the battery and provide perfectly adjusted, rapid charging. They ensure trouble-free operation, particularly in multi-shift environments.
Energy savings of 20 - 30% plus reduced service, maintenance and personnel costs provide a quick pay back for the user.

A digital control circuit keeps current and voltage constant while charging. It compensates for fluctuations in the mains voltage; the battery is charged more gently and consequently lasts longer.
The system detects the charge level of the battery and reacts accordingly by adjusting the charging characteristic. Recharging of the battery stops at just the right time - when the maximum voltage is reached. This function saves energy and prevents overcharging and its associated problems, such as overheating and premature failure of the battery. At least 15 characteristics are provided for users; others they can program themselves as required. The software can easily be updated or upgraded via the USB port.  

Additional advantages of the new Selectiva for small and medium-sized traction batteries can be traced back to its well thought-out design and light weight: e.g. it weighs in at just 1.9 kg and is extremely compact (245 x 155 x 90 mm).
