Rüsselsheim/Wels – The rapid and reliable charging ability of the Fronius Acctiva series has now impressed Opel Europe as well. In Rüsselsheim, approvals have been issued for the Acctiva Professional Flash, Acctiva Professional Car Edition and Acctiva Easy 1206 Car Edition battery chargers for workshop and showroom use.

„The approvals from Opel Europa again underline the quality of our products in the eyes of another major automobile manufacturer", enthuses Harald Scherleitner, head of the Battery Charging Systems division at Fronius.
Acctiva chargers manufactured by the Austrian family business are suitable for all battery technologies, including standard, Ca-Ca, AGM, spiral, gel and sealant batteries. Opel workshop or showroom staff can start charging simply by connecting the charger to the vehicle and plugging it into the mains.

The Technology

Fronius is convinced of the benefits of Active Inverter Technology. "It offers intelligent, digitally controlled charging, is 100% electronically safe, very efficient, has a positive effect on the battery and works in record time", reports Harald Scherleitner, head of the Bat-tery Charging Systems division at Fronius.
Sixteen years ago Fronius brought the first switched mode battery charger with inverter technology for starter batteries onto the market. Since then it has become the leading innovator in the pioneering field of inverter technology.
These arguments have also convinced the managers of Opel GmbH, who have now issued approvals for the Acctiva Professional Flash, Acctiva Professional and Acctiva Easy. The battery chargers can be obtained from Förch as well as other listed suppliers and are suitable for all Opel vehicles. The new Opel Insignia also obtains its power with the help of Fronius.

Acctiva Professional Flash

The Acctiva Professional Flash is a 70 Amp, electronically safe battery charger that is ideal for supplying power during diagnostics and reprogramming of in-car software. Due to its high power output it can be used to rapidly charge batteries during servicing and to give discharged batteries back their starting capabilities within minutes. It can also serve as an external power supply without battery, such as during battery changes, in showrooms or at trade fairs. Additional features of the Acctiva Professional Flash include the refresh mode used to regenerate depleted batteries and the integrated USB interface that allows software updates to the char-ger to be loaded very easily. A new feature is the I-Check function. This ten-minute automatic current consumption test for depleted starter batteries can determine whether the battery is defective or still functional.

Acctiva Professional

The 30 Amp Acctiva Professional was developed for universal workshop use. It is used as a power supply during diagnostics and when reprogramming in-car software, rapid charging during servi-cing and as an external power supply without a battery during battery changes, in the showroom or at trade fairs. The device also has a special refresh mode to regenerate depleted batteries. The Acctiva Professional can be used with 6, 12, and 24 V batteries.

Acctiva Easy

The Acctiva Easy is a small, powerful and electronically controlled charger and tester providing up to 4 Amps. It can both charge and test in one. It tests voltage, the startability of the battery and the functioning of the alternator. A microprocessor controls the charging process and monitors all functions of the device. It can also serve as an external power supply without a battery, for example during battery changes, in showrooms or at trade fairs.
