Five QAS teams already in action for Fronius
12.10.2007
Fast and competent local customer support on a global scale is not exactly simple to achieve, but it is indispensable for the success of a company. In 2004 Fronius began to take up this challenge even more intensively with the establishment of an international welding competence network for the automotive industry consisting of qualified automotive supplier teams.
The QAS certificate is a special additional qualification that organisational units may acquire from Fronius representatives and VSP teams following a training period of about two years. The purpose of this procedure is to ensure competent and uniformly high standard of service to car manufacturers all over the world.
The fifth Fronius QAS team was already certified at this year’s ISSM. In addition to the teams in Goslar (D), Rosenburg (NL), Göteborg (S) and Turin (I) there is now also a sales team with QAS competence in Brighton (USA). Five others are currently undergoing the qualification programme. Apart from this, the teams benefit from high-quality infrastructure and equipment, proximity to the customer and customer training for a number of different welding systems and processes.
In order to guarantee the high level of personnel and technical standards in the long term, an audit is conducted every three years by the quality management body. The individual teams, whose minimum staffing requires a technical sales consultant, applications engineer and service technician, are cross-linked by a newsletter and workshops.
This tailor-made qualification programme is a success in every respect for all involved, and also enables the penetration of new markets and areas of activity.
