Fronius expands its operations on the American continent

With its new subsidiaries in Monterrey and Mexico City, Mexico (opening on July 1st) and in Mississauga, Canada (opening on October 1st), Fronius is in an excellent position to operate throughout the entire continent.

Monterrey. In 2007 Fronius strengthened its commitment to Mexico following encouraging growth figures. With its new subsidiary in Santa Catarina, Monterrey, Fronius is located right in the heart of the North American automotive industry. The proximity to the USA has led a large number of companies to set up in this part of Mexico. The second location in Mexico City, with its classy ambience, also promotes the sense of a customer-led sales philosophy.

In its first year, the Mexican subsidiary not only succeeded in establishing itself in the market, the 16-strong team also took part in the International Welding Congress in Salltillo, Mexico and on June 5th staged an open-door event at which Brigitte Strauß and Otto Schuster were present. 180 visitors from well-known companies, such as Benteler, Magna, John Deere and Metalsa, paid close attention to the four robot demonstrations. The latest welding technology highlights, including CMT, Delta-Sport and TransCut, were also presented.

Mississauga. Fronius Canada in Mississauga is strategically placed very close to Toronto. Every year, the motor manufacturers in this area produce some 1.2 million vehicles. Unconventional and prompt assistance from Fronius quickly resulted in the first major orders, such as the purchase of 52 complete systems by pipeline specialists RMS.

The new site is well equipped to handle all manner of work. With its robot shop, manual welding demonstration room, dedicated training centre, service & repair centre and final testing system, Fronius Canada is very much a customer-focused business. Its market position is strengthening rapidly due to the concerted and dedicated efforts of the entire workforce.

With its four strategically-placed subsidiaries in South and North America, Fronius has taken another large step towards becoming "World Number One".
