Basics of the welding process

Welding is a complex matter, a science in itself. Different materials require different welding processes. Here is a basic outline of the most common techniques.

MIG/MAG welding
MIG/MAG is today’s most used welding process in trade and industry.

TIG welding
The TIG welding process provides optimum conditions for obtaining the best welding result possible.

Manual electrode welding
As the simplest and lowest-cost welding process, MMA welding is suitable for the workshop and construction industry above all.

TIME- and TimeTwin welding
TIME and TimeTwin are high-performance processes derived from the MIG/MAG welding process.

DeltaSpot
DeltaSpot is a new resistance spot welding process that provides increased stability and reproducibility of results.

CMT welding
CMT is a modified MIG/MAG process that for the first time enables steel and aluminium to be joined using heat.

TransCut
TransCut is the first plasma cutting process to use a small quantity of liquid instead of compressed air.

LaserHybrid welding
LaserHybrid is a high-performance process that combines the advantages of the MIG/MAG process with those of laser welding.
