How do I become a Fronius Service Partner?
You can become a Fronius Service Partner (FSP) by attending one of our training courses and then signing and returning the FSP contract to Fronius.
As an FSP, you will have lots of advantages, such as:
- In-depth knowledge of our inverters
- You will receive a fixed sum for every service call-out on Fronius IG units.
- Option of buying the service toolbox which contains all the important spare parts à you appear more efficient to the customer.
- Preferential treatment in terms of information about new product features
- And much more besides.
The dates and locations of our training courses and the online application form can be found in our calendar of events.
Where can I buy Fronius inverters?
The Solar Electronics division of FRONIUS International GmbH sells its units via sales partners all over the world.
What points do I need to note at the inverter installation site?
Indoor units should be installed in areas that are neither too dusty nor too damp. Ideally, they should not be installed in lofts as the temperature can be very high in summer. If the temperature is too high, it can restrict the unit’s output.
Indoor units are rated to IP 21.
Despite being IP 45-rated, outdoor units should ideally not be exposed to direct insolation or rain in order to extend the unit’s service life.
How should I dimension the incoming cables to the inverter?
The cables should generally be dimensioned so as to minimize losses. Larger cross-sections are slightly more expensive but they will pay for themselves over the years since the average service life of a PV system is assumed to be 20 years.
What protective measures should I take with my inverter?
Inverters from the Fronius IG series have an internal passive overvoltage protector. Our inverters must generally be fused on the AC side. We recommend the following values:
| Fronius IG 15/20/30 | 16A |
| Fronius IG 40 | 25 A |
| Fronius IG 60 HV | 32 A |
Are there any general points to note when called out to a fault in a Fronius IG inverter?
In such situations, the important details are the displayed STATE code and any information about the mains and DC voltages. Please also note down the serial number of the affected unit as you will have to state this when you call the Fronius Service Hotline.
