Fronius Sensor Card / Box – Your Personal Weather Station.

It is possible to install various sensors into the Fronius DATCOM system. These permit an in-depth look into the way the PV system works and make it possible to draw informed conclusions about the overall performance. As usual, this option is available either as a plug-in card or as box. Plug-in cards are recommended for a maximum distance of 20 – 30 m between the inverter and sensor(s). Larger distances can be bridged using the box.

The following sensors can be connected to the Sensor Box (Card):

  • irradiance
  • ambient temperature
  • module temperature
  • energy counter
  • wind speed

Fronius Public Display – Large-Format Display for Outdoors.

PV systems in the public area are gaining increasing importance. You can professionally display the most significant data using the Fronius Public Displays. For this you need an interface (plug-in card or box) for the PV system and a suitable large-format display.

The Fronius Public Display:

The Fronius Public Display: the complete package comprising interface and alphanumeric large format display. All the values of the entire PV system, which can cover up to 100 inverters, can be selected for the rotating display. One value in the group is picked as the favourite and is then displayed every second time the value changes.

The Fronius Public Display (Card/Box):

This is the interface of the PV system that is compatible with all large-format displays made by the RiCo Company.
Simply connect the box or card to the display and inverter. Add on up to 100 inverters and display all the values you want from Fronius IG.access. Create your own individual large-format display: The company RiCo can supply any line, variable or number of figures.

Fronius Interface Card / Box

The Fronius Interface Card / Box has a serial interface with an open data protocol that enables the latest PV data to be downloaded from the inverter and processed. This will have the following advantages:

  • Integration of system data in other IT systems (building control, alarm systems, etc.)
  • Data transfer to PC for other visualisation purposes (e.g. to include PV data on a homepage)
  • Interface to other data logging systems

Configuring the Interface Card / Box as a serial interface enables a PC or other devices to be connected. - As normal with Fronius DATCOM components, power for the Fronius Interface Card (Box) is supplied by an inverter or a plug-in power pack.

The new standard interface from Fronius is compatible with all Fronius IG inverters. The only prerequisite is that a Datalogger be present.

Fronius Datalogger & Interface (Box)

The combined Fronius Datalogger & Interface (IP20) has been created especially for new systems and / or systems which are retrofitted with components for data communication. The Interface Card is already in the Datalogger housing, thus reducing installation time and costs.

Fronius Solar.interface – The Software

The software programme „Fronius Solar.interface“ is the counterpart of the Fronius Interface Card / Box. This programme has been created to support potential developers, who intend to design an own counterpart for subsequent processing of the PV system data.

You can find this software in the download-area of our website for free www.fronius.com/solar.electronics.
There you also find a demo version of the software as well as the operating manual of Fronius Solar.interface, which contains detailed information regarding the communication protocol.

Fronius Wireless Transceiver

The photovoltaic system monitoring feature is an important and exciting part of the system. However, it often requires costly and sometimes bothersome additional cabling. Fronius has solved this problem with a simple solution: the Fronius Wireless Transceiver.

  • Data transmission from inverter to the PV via radio circuit
  • All purpose (Connectable with large screen displays, interface components, datalogger)
  • No additional effort for the configuration – automated recognition of the counterpart
  • Available as Card with RS232-interface
  • Available as Box with RS232- or USB-interface
