Get in touch with the future of welding

07/28/2009

Fronius, European technology and market leader in arc welding, has in store some very special technological developments and surprises for this year's "Schweissen & Schneiden 2009" trade fair in Essen Germany.Visitors will find us at our newly designed stand (304) in hall 3 of the Essen exhibition center. Product developments and their uses/benefits will include both manual as well as automated arc welding - from simulations to resistance spot welding.

To enable the joining of thick sheets, Fronius will be presenting a version of TimeTwin with higher melting rates for high performance welding. For practically spatter-free welding of thin sheets using the CMT process, the heat input limits are being pushed further and further towards the "cold" end of the scale. Among the desired outcomes are even less distortion, better process control and joining of materials that could not previously be joined using an arc process. This technological progress also includes the periphery, which is often neglected by welding system manufacturers: Fronius is implementing and will be presenting a future-oriented innovation of torch technology.
A new generation of arc welding systems is focusing on economical welding for conventional steels. Automated processes represent maximum precision, reproducibility and availability. Fronius will focus on these themes when presenting its strategy for the future in Essen. Our joining experts have also optimized their resistance spot welding system with continuous process tapes and will be presenting this using practical examples. The experts from Wels want to take visitors in Essen into a completely new dimension of welding. In this regard, we will be creating a simulated, software-supported welding world at the trade fair stand as well as later on-site with the customer. "I am positive that we will impress visitors with our depth of innovation and its scope, not to mention our impressive product range. Even well-informed professionals can find surprises that greatly surpass their expectations", predicts Wolfgang Lattner, head of the welding technology division.

Come and get a first-hand experience of the new benchmarks for welding.
