Fronius USA participates in "Red October Run"

10/03/2009

Fronius employees and their families tighten up their shoelaces for a worthy cause.

The “Red October Run” held every fall at Oakwood Annapolis Hospital in Wayne Michigan is at the heart of Fronius employees. Held the first Saturday of October, this event helps raise money for outreach programs for the local community. The Fronius family is committed to helping out where ever possible and the employees look forward to this event every year.

Fronius USA got involved with the run in 2005 and has participated every year since. The staff as well as their family and friends are invited to join the event which includes a 5K walk or 5K/10K run. The event, now in it's 19th year grows in numbers each year. In 2008 there was a record 807 registered runners, walkers and “Junior October” kid-milers, 23 of them being from the Fronius family. This year the turnout was a little less than expected due to inclement weather. However 14 members of the Fronius family showed up to brave the rain and cold. Afterwards, as tradition has it, the team headed over to Mongolian BBQ for food and football.
