Highest ROI
CAPEX – the capital expenditures or investment costs – of a PV system consist of the combined costs of the inverter, the module, the labour costs and the BOS (Balance of System) costs, which includes all additional expenditure for cabling, distributor boxes, etc. Reducing Balance of System (BOS) costs will impact the return on investment for the PV system.
/ The optional Fronius DC Connector Kit 35 allows the Fronius Eco to be used in centralised system designs with a single cable-run from the array to the inverter, keeping costs to a minimum.
/ Inbuilt fusing means there is no need for an additional fuse box - one less expense to factor in.
/ Ample space inside each of our commercial inverters makes it easy to retrofit an SPD, which means no need for an additional surge protection box (depending on SPD).
/ Ongoing operational costs are also critical for high investment returns. Factors such as Fronius PC board replacement (allowing on-site serviceability) and active cooling technology improve component lifetime, making Fronius inverters the smart choice for the highest returns.
Maximum flexibility
Maximum flexibility in design
Project design flexibility is achieved through the inclusion of one or more Fronius Symo inverters. Owing to the SuperFlex Design, the Fronius Symo is the perfect answer to irregularly shaped or different roof orientations. This flexible design allows installers to create a highly tailored configuration for any PV system, giving the widest range of options. What’s more, fast and accurate design couldn’t be easier thanks to the Fronius Solar.configurator tool, which effortlessly calculates the ideal number of solar modules and how they are connected or the best type of inverter, no matter how complex the system.
East/west orientation
Multiple orientations on one MPP tracker is possible with the Fronius Eco - with minimal loses! This means there are fewer components required to harvest the most amount of energy, hastening the return on investment.
Active Cooling
Contrary to many other manufacturers, Fronius relies on active rather than passive cooling of the power electronics. In addition to preventing so-called hot spots, the focus with this approach is on optimising yields as well as simple and flexible system design.
In practice, there is also only a limited amount of free choice about where to install the inverter; you have to adapt to the given conditions. However, some inverters have strict regulations regarding the type, position and site of installation. These restrictions are usually caused by the cooling system used in the inverter. With an intelligent, active air guide, it is possible to mount inverters vertically or horizontally (0° - 90°) and even flat (on a roof).
Maximum flexibility in data communication
In addition to its own monitoring portal, Fronius Solar.web, the Fronius Eco and Symo inverters boast various open interfaces, such as Modbus (TCP or RTU), to enable easy connection to external dataloggers, park regulators or energy management systems. The open Modbus (TCP or RTU) and JSON interfaces can be used in parallel to Fronius Solar.web. Thanks to parallel operation, it is possible for Fronius to access the system remotely, thus providing the best possible technical support. Equally, parallel operation also allows Fronius Solar.web to be used alongside a local controller with third-party components. Thanks to the Fronius Push Service, the system data can be sent not only to the Fronius Solar.web server, but to any server. In addition to its dataloggers, Fronius also provides sensor solutions for the connection of insolation and temperature sensors, etc.
Reliability
Local support
Fronius has been selling into the Australian market since 2000, officially opening the doors to its Australian subsidiary in Tullamarine north of Melbourne in November 2010. Since then, Fronius products have been recognised for their quality, reliability and innovation, and Fronius has grown to become one of the best-selling inverter brands in Australia and New Zealand - not without reason!
Our local presence, including a local warehouse, technical support and repair centre, makes it quick and easy to get in touch with us to get the support you need, when you need it. This strong local support, combined with our global experience ensures premium quality and reliability across all facets of our business.
