New MD appointed at Fronius UK

Fronius UK are pleased to announce the appointement of Beate Ruebig as new Managing Director for the UK subsidiary.

Beate joins the UK team with 5 years at Fronius International Finance Department under her belt, where her projects included new Fronius subsidiaries, change of ERP systems and defining and auditing company-wide finance processes and procedures. Beate was eager to join the UK team as MD having previously lived in the UK during her studies and will incorporate her experience as a manager and from previous employments with her passion for renewable energy. 

Beate succeeds Wolfgang Hink as Managing Director, who after 4 years in the UK subsidiary has returned to Fronius International to start work on some exciting new projects in Business Unit: Solar Energy.

We asked Beate some quick fire questions:

What is your favourite holiday location?
Now that’s difficult. I would have to choose two – it’s a toss up between the Isle of Skye, Scotland and Whitsunday Islands, Australia. 

What scares you the most?
The condition of our planet if we continue down the current path.

What first attracted you to Fronius?
The vision of the company 24 Hours of Sun. I want to see a future powered 100% by renewable energy.

What is your favourite book?
That would be Michelle Obama’s “Becoming”

What was your dream job as a child?
I wanted to be an archaeologist

And finally, what’s your favourite TV show at the moment? 
That definitely has to be The Handmaid’s Tale
