TPS/i interface solutions for data exchange with third-party systems
The interface solutions OPC-UA (Open Platform Communications – Unified Architecture) and MQTT (Message Queuing – Telemetry Transport) enable raw current data and actual states of the welding system to be read out. This allows the user to transfer the data record to other systems for independent evaluations, analyses, summaries, and visualizations.
Interface solution for WeldCube Premium for data exchange with third-party systems
The REST interface solution (REpresentational State Transfer) is an out-of-the-box solution. REST is therefore required so that the user can analyze the data prepared by WeldCube Premium or transfer it to the corresponding third-party systems – immediately after installation and without any adjustments. In contrast to the interface solutions OPC-UA and MQTT, historical data can also be accessed here. In addition, this interface solution also provides a fixed scope of data that includes information on components, seams, set values, jobs, and machines.
Combining the REST data interface with WeldCube Premium therefore offers numerous ready-made functions:
- Traceability concepts including documentation, evaluation, and reporting
- Statistics & analysis tools
- Central job management including a history function
- Communication concept between WeldCube Premium and a wide range of connected welding systems

“Self-made” documentation and analysis
The data interfaces offer the possibility to transfer all available information to the customer’s own documentation and analysis software. All evaluations, visualizations, and reports can thus be developed and programmed individually by the customer.
Automatic specification of parameters
Pre-programmed jobs and/or set values are assigned to the welding task by a higher-level control system in order to avoid incorrect settings – and thus a lack of fusion (only possible with OPC-UA).
Customized maintenance solutions
Customers can implement their own specifications and defined processes for service routines based on their own data analyses. These are displayed on the user’s own systems, such as apps or desktop views, to enable internal maintenance to be supported and optimized.
