TWO WIRES – ONE PROCESS

With TimeTwin, controllable digital power sources work completely independently – with two separate wire electrodes – in just one gas nozzle and in a common weld pool. This shortens cycle times and improves welding quality and cost effectiveness in high-performance welding.

 

A TimeTwin Digital welding system consists of two GMAW (gas metal arc) TransPuls Synergic 4000 or 5000 systems connected to a high-speed digital data interface at the control level. The results are impressive, with stable arcs, maximum deposition rates, high welding speeds and low heat input. The advantage of welding using two wires in a shared weld pool is that the second arc improves the circulation of the weld pool, improving fusion and reducing proneness to porosity.

EXTREMELY EASY TO USE

More than 30 continuously adjustable parameters are available for controlling the two independent power sources. Complete parameter records can be called up using a robot interface or remote control, allowing the best welding results to be reproduced time and again. The individual functions can be clearly read on the display and are easily accessible. The RS 232 interface is installed on the TimeTwin as standard.
