CONNECTING A RIPPLE CONTROL RECEIVER
To control the output of photovoltaic systems remotely, electricity retailers use ripple control technology. Fronius inverters are equipped with interfaces that can be connected to a ripple control receiver. This upstream unit receives control signals transmitted via the grid and derives the necessary information from them. The settings can be easily adjusted on the web interface of the inverter or Fronius Datamanager.
CONTROL USING THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
Fronius inverters can also be controlled using third-party components,
for example for the special requirements of solar parks. The Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU open interfaces are available for this purpose.

The Fronius Datamanager 2.0 or Fronius Datamanager Box 2.0 is the ideal link between inverter and PC for recording and monitoring photovoltaic system data. The Datamanager can be easily integrated into existing network structures via an Ethernet interface, which connects the inverter to the internet and transmits the information from the photovoltaic system to the Fronius Solar.web online platform or to a dedicated website. With the help of the comprehensive local display, the user can set all data relevant to dynamic feed-in control, the ripple receiver control connection or the interfaces. The local website enables straightforward system monitoring and control on site as well as remotely, irrespective of the operating system.
To ensure that the surplus solar energy not fed into the grid is used as efficiently as possible, Fronius inverters can be connected to third-party components via hardware and software interfaces quickly and easily. The networking of different products and systems permanently increases the energy efficiency of the system and reduces operating costs.
