Fronius Launches New TIG Series
Versatile Power Source for A.C. Welding
Whether it's for the construction of pipes or containers, the processing of stainless steel, or for car repairs and maintenance – the new TIG welding systems from Fronius are a great choice for a large number of applications. The highest output power source is the MagicWave 230i for a.c. welding. Its USP is it can communicate with other devices using Bluetooth, WLAN and NFC technology and be connected with them. The MagicWave 190, meanwhile, is an ideal choice when you are welding materials such as steel, stainless steel and aluminum. The alternating current power source has a gas cooling option and is optimal for various different areas of application.
A Lightweight Choice for Welding with Direct Current
The TransTig 230i for d.c. welding also forms part of the new series. At just 15.9 kilograms, it has a very light tare weight. The hand-held welding torch is suitable for all welding applications except for aluminum. Like with the MagicWave 230i, the power source also comes with a water cooling option. Since it is Bluetooth-, WLAN-, and NFC-compatible, the TransTig 230i can also connect wirelessly to devices such as intelligent welding helmets, remote controls and even smartphones.
Optimization for the User
The multilingual operating concept of the hand-held welding torches with a full 4.3-inch graphic display makes the latter intuitive and very easy to use. Thanks to the favorites button, it is also easy for welders to access and adjust welding parameters that they use frequently. One particular advantage is the modular setup, allowing users to upgrade the devices with various packages of functions however they like. Examples of these functions include the job function, which enables the user to store up to 999 jobs at the same time, the PulsPro package, which gives you all the pulse functions, additional documentation of data, and limit monitoring. The latter helps the user to generate a defined parameter window and adhere to certain welding parameters. USB ports make it possible to carry out software updates and to document welding data.
New Welding Torch Ensures Precise Handling
A multivoltage version is available for all of the devices. Using the Fronius Power Plug, a lockable connector on the back of the power source, it is quick and easy to change the mains cable or plug (depending on the place of use). This makes use possible worldwide, even when the mains voltage is different. Fronius has also redesigned the welding torches, giving them an ergonomic shell-type handle, combined as standard with a torch change system, ensuring convenience and even greater precision during handling. The built-in high-performance LED, meanwhile, ensures efficient lighting of the weld area. The welder is therefore able to focus fully on their other tasks and achieve clean results.
