The new Fronius “Practice Day” – more than just a training day

With the Fronius Practice Day, we are taking a new approach to improving the training we offer installers. As we all know, you can only truly master something once you have got to grips with it with your own hands. However, for this to even be possible, you first have to know the theory behind the reality. The Fronius Practice Day is a combination of both. Firstly, the basic principles of a new subject area are presented in three easily digestible seminars. This is followed by a one-day practical element in which the newly acquired knowledge can be directly applied using the product under professional instruction.

Hands-on training at the Fronius Practice Day

The first Fronius Practice Day was held in Wels on 27/03/2018 and was devoted to Heating with photovoltaics – Applications with the Fronius Ohmpilot”.

The topics of the training:

  • How can photovoltaics be used to heat buildings or generate hot water?
  • What do you need to watch out for with respect to the dimensioning?
  • How does heat pump actuation work in practice?
  • Etc.

"The Fronius Practice Day is an opportunity for installers to train on real products. Fronius experts are at hand during the training to answer questions that usually arise on-site or when talking to the end customer. The installers can familiarise themselves with our products – this is quite valuable especially for newer devices like the Fronius Ohmpilot." says Fronius expert Hans Pelzer.

Specialists on stage

Alongside the Fronius energy experts were specialists in heat pumps, infrared panels and boilers. For the participants this presented the unique advantage of being able to learn about the various products from people with first-hand professional experience. Owing to the great levels of interest and enthusiasm shown by all, another instalment of the Fronius Practice Day pilot project will certainly be arranged soon.
