Dubai Expo 2020 pavilion sustainably powered by a Fronius PV system

With a 52.45 kWp rooftop installation, the Belgian government supplies its Dubai Expo 2020 pavilion from renewable energy using four Fronius Symo on-grid inverters.

What is it being used for and Why did they invest into PV?

The Belgium Pavilion at Expo 2020 offers a unique comics-inspired tour of the future of mobility, letting you see yourself as a character as you explore smart infrastructure, self-driving vehicles and more. Being a futuristic movement focused on green and renewable energies, solar panels could not be missing, as they are in charge of supplying the whole building with renewable energy.

In 2020, the Kingdom of Belgium took the decision to install a 33 kW rooftop, extending it to the final 52.45 kW during the construction phase due to aesthetics.
