Professional Welding Tools – a great performance!

In terms of the show, the highlight of this year’s Product News Day 2019 was certainly the station of the LoB PWT.

Peter Fronius moderated the program of this entertaining event. A large variety of the PWT product portfolio was presented here.

Station 1

TransSteel 2200

Initially, Gerhard Aigner, a top racer of the Austrian Rally State-Championship, conveyed in an impactful way the rigorous demands of this extreme sport from the human and the machine as well.

With the TransSteel 2200 one is perfectly equipped for racing: Welding requirements result essentially from the different thicknesses of the sheet metal built in the rally car. And the multiprocess machine is an adequate solution for this.

The exhaust system was welded with TIG, one of the 3 processes available on the TransSteel. Stored in the Toolcase 120, the welders have everything they need at hand.

Station 2

AccuPocket

Welding on scaffolding? The audience could enjoy a live demo also on this application. A craftsman job, exquisite mobility and flexible operation require a portable stand-alone machine. With AccuPocket that does not need a power cord – no problem.

Station 3

TransPocket 150/180

In quite a dizzying height, TransPocket came on the scene hereafter. A welder was elevated by a crane truck to the construction site on an industrial chimney. Despite the long power cables and the generator's unstable power supply, TransPocket delivers a stable arc effortlessly. Power cable lengths of up to 100 meters are possible to be used!

Station 4

TransSteel 2700

Bernhard Esterbauer is the Austrian national champion in plowing. A perfected preparation of his hard-faced plowshares requires MIG/MAG welding – clearly TransSteel 2700 scores here excellently.

Station 5

MagicWave 230i

The MagicWave 230i can now be combined with the bluetooth remote control RC Panel, RC foot padel and Vizor Connect. As a result, the parameters in difficult welding positions can be changed at any time. The audience could catch a glimpse of the new intelligent Vizor Connect helmet which communicates with the power source via bluetooth. Peter Fronius explained that after the welding torch is activated, the visor is automatically dimmed and hence ensures a high degree of safety and comfort.

TransSteel Multiprocess

Well, quite something is going on here! The term multiprocess strikes invariably throughout the entire PWT presentation – the success story of the TransSteel 2200 Multiprocess continues. The customer feedback showed that the multiprocess feature promises success in the market also in the two larger compact device classes: TransSteel 2700 and 3500 C. These machines will be available as multiprocess variants in the coming weeks.

And here are the product benefits:
  • 3 welding processes in one machine
  • Countless applications
  • Ready to weld in three steps

Predestined for success!
