Welcome to the ISSM 2019 insights
International Sales and Strategy Meeting. On the 10th and 11th of April all Managing Directors of Fronius subsidiaries, the national Sales Managers as well as global Fronius Representatives met at the Headquarters in Wels to share insights into the already rolled-out Customer Intimacy Strategy.
While the first day was dedicated to deepening our strategic focus, the second day showcased all kinds of product innovations by every line of business.
The two-day event was a chance to talk and network with all the international colleagues. Interesting demonstrations of all LOBs as well as an entertaining evening program made this year’s ISSM unique and worthwhile.

International Sales & Strategy Meeting
„The welding industry might have been conservative in the past, but those days are gone.“ With these words, our CEO/CFO Mrs. Elisabeth Strauss opened this year’s International Sales and Strategy Meeting at the Zirbenschlössl in Sipbachzell on April 10th.
Following last year’s global roll-out of the new Customer Intimacy Strategy, certain key elements were re-visited: what has been implemented, where are we at the moment and what are the next steps in refining the strategy. Following Mrs. Strauss, both BU Managers gave updates on their areas of responsibility. Harald Scherleitner started with a feedback loop using the online survey tool Mentimeter, which directly displays the results of all participants – in realtime.
Harald Langeder then shared insight into current and future projects on the agenda of our Research & Development team. During the subsequent Sales Update, selected Representatives – among them TornboSvejs, Arroweld, EQIN, Eurotehnika, CM Metal as well as Froweld – revealed their domestic market situation and crucial economic challenges they face.
The afternoon was spent in free-flow sessions. On a total of four stations, all the lines of business presented an overview of their current and future activities. Thereby, the participants had the chance to ask questions in smaller group sessions and discuss contents on a deeper level.
