People from all over the world visit Gekas Ullared to shop. It is not only a a retailshop, it has become a tourist attraction with hotels, camping and cottages around it.
As one of the largest supermarkets in the world it’s clear that a high energy demand needs to be covered. As Gekas Ullared is always looking for ways to reduce their energy consumption, they decided to invest in Photovoltaic systems. Six Fronius Eco 27 kW and two Fronius 20kW inverters have been installed. All of the generated photovoltaic electricity goes into the warehouse and helps them to reduce their dependency on the grid.

CHALLENGES IN SWEDEN
A special challenge was to install the selected panels on the limited roof area. Also it was also crucial to not disturb the supermarket customers too much during the installation process. As a Fronius System Partner, EMG Energimontagegruppen AB takes good service very seriously, hence these challenging factors could be overcome with:
- a lot of planning
- a competent team
- individual problem solving skills.
