Latrobe Valley Village is a not-for-profit community organisation providing accommodation for older members of the community. With a whopping energy bill of approximately $25,000 per quarter, this 100kW system, which features five Fronius Symo 20’s and 380 REC260W polycrystalline panels, has a payback forecast of 4-4.5 years making this a sound capital investment.
Customer support played a big role in Aaron Wilson, Latrobe Valley Village property manager’s decision to choose local Fronius Service Partner, Gippsland Solar for the install “I’m a believer in supporting local businesses, and if something goes wrong they are right here.”
For Managing Director of Gippsland Solar, Andy McCarthy, the system flexibility that the Fronius Symo enables was key to the success of this install. “This installation is spread across nine different roof areas. The Fronius Symo 20 with multiple trackers for each inverter meant we could use the optimum roof space configuration and ensure the greatest performance for the customer. We can check the performance of the entire array every minute of the day for the last 12 months and can provide instant, pro-active service if the systems needs some attention. We give the customer a login as well so they also get an alert if there’s an issue with the system. We find that this provides great peace of mind for our customers.”
