Occupational Safety: Welding Helmets for Safe Working

Welding helmets form part of welders’ personal protective equipment and make an important contribution to occupational safety. However, not all helmets provide the ideal working conditions for every application.

Occupational safety plays an important role in welding. One aspect of this is personal protective equipment, whose main task is to protect the eyes and skin against burns and glare, and the respiratory organs against harmful particles, smoke, and vapors.

Protective helmets are a must for welders as arc welding emits radiation with a dangerous proportion of UV. This can damage unprotected areas of the skin and the eyes in particular.

Read our blog article “Occupational Safety: Automatic Welding Helmets for Safe, Efficient and Comfortable Working” to find out what users should need to be aware of when selecting a welding helmet, and why the helmet is not only important for the eyes.
