Thanks to advanced AI technology, the energy cost assistant continuously analyzes the expected PV production of your system, your energy consumption and the current electricity price and adapts the storage strategy accordingly. Functions at a glance

To make money from feeding electricity into the grid, you need to consider not just how much you are feeding in but also timing. The Energy Cost Assistant ensures that excess energy is fed into the grid when the feed-in tariff is high, charging the battery again during periods when tariffs are low. By using your solar power more efficiently, you can increase the yield of your PV system and optimize your energy costs.

The Energy Cost Assistant takes energy prices directly from the exchange and integrates them into the AI-supported energy optimization strategy. If the electricity price is low at night, for example, the battery is automatically charged via the grid, meaning you benefit from low electricity rates even when the sun isn’t shining.

The assistant also limits the discharge of your battery when the electricity price is very low, ensuring sufficient battery reserves that can easily be accessed when prices rise. This allows you to absorb high consumption peaks and thereby avoid expensive electricity tariffs.

The Energy Cost Assistant plans ahead so that you can make the most of every hour of sunshine. If it detects that sunshine hours and a feed-in limit are approaching, it stops charging the battery ahead of time and leaves storage space free. Excess solar power that would otherwise be lost due to a feed-in limit is stored in the battery for use at a later time. This increases self-consumption while also helping to maintain a stable power grid.
